Building the Semantic Layer for the AGI Economy

The digital world is shifting from rigid, human-driven commands to a fluid, autonomous ecosystem powered by AI agents. Onwendan is a research and development initiative building the next-generation communication protocol to unlock their true potential.

The Core Idea: Generative Document Representation

What is a GDR?

At the heart of our protocol is the Generative Document Representation (GDR). Instead of exchanging large, inflexible data files, agents on the Generative Agentic Network (GAN) exchange a GDR—a compact, powerful Large Language Model (LLM) prompt that serves as the canonical, generative source for a complex document or task. This shifts communication from a declarative model of exchanging data to a generative model of exchanging instructions, promising orders-of-magnitude improvements in efficiency and flexibility.

Our architecture outlines a trustless, open marketplace for these generative tasks, built upon the existing Decentralised AI (DeAI) ecosystem.

Solving the Hard Problems of AI Interaction

A simple idea is not enough. Our research confronts the fundamental challenges of building a reliable generative network head-on.

Non-Determinism

We address the "determinism fallacy", proposing a novel Decentralised Adjudication Network (DAN) to verify "semantic equivalence" rather than impossible bit-for-bit regeneration.

Prohibitive Costs

We tackle the immense overhead of verifiable computation by designing a tiered verification system, balancing economic viability with the required level of trust.

Contractual Ambiguity

We reframe the "prompt as contract" metaphor, creating a robust architecture where a secure on-chain smart contract serves as the binding "shell" for a flexible, generative "blueprint" in the prompt.
